How about 13? Apparently not. Instead of the Phillies-Yankees games scheduled for Yankee Stadium on Wednesday and Thursday, the Baltimore Orioles - previously scheduled to play the Marlins in Baltimore later this week - will now play the Yankees in Baltimore.
But what happens to the Marlins' schedule? The team played exhibition games in Atlanta before their travels to Philadelphia.
"The health of our players and staff has been and will continue to be our primary focus as we navigate through these unchartered waters", Marlins CEO Derek Jeter said in a released statement. "I don't put this in the nightmare category", he said of the Marlins' crisis. I mean this thing really hits home now. Due to several members of the Marlins' traveling party testing positive after a three-game series in Philadelphia last weekend, the Yankees' first two games at Philadelphia were postponed well before the scheduled first pitch, and by Tuesday afternoon, the Yankees learned they would be headed to Baltimore. And I think it's really smart of baseball to wait one more day, just because the incubation period is two to 14 days...and I know we can't wait 14 days, but I think we have to be really smart about this. That's why we have the expanded pools of additional players.
The games will go on elsewhere, at least for now, but with heightened anxiety levels. "But, without aggressive action and vigilance, there is little hope we'll see more baseball without more outbreaks". I wanted to talk about it. "I would say, at least for the rest of 2020 and most likely until there's a vaccine, I personally think you're compromising people's health and well-being for a short-term gain".

United Kingdom government secures 90 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines
The trial showed that volunteers given two doses of the vaccine produced virus-neutralizing antibodies, similar to the USA trial. In early June, the team was forced to begin trials of the vaccine in Brazil and South Africa, where cases were rising quickly.
Major League Baseball said in a statement Tuesday that among more than 6,400 tests conducted since Friday, there were no new positives involving on-field personnel from any team other than the Marlins.
Four additional players tested positive for the virus on Tuesday, increasing the team's total number of cases to 17. The NHL has brought its teams to two sites in Canada.
As such, the "whole season is clearly in jeopardy" although the league deserves some credit for making an effort to keep it as safe as possible for everyone.
The risks of playing outside a bubble in a global pandemic should have put Major League Baseball on alert to have immediate plans in place in the case of an outbreak. Keeping every team off flights and in Orlando for all the games should keep players safe and keep the National Basketball Association on track to finish the playoffs.
The league is looking into where the outbreak began. The league canceled preseason games, and Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote a letter to fans telling them, "Adaptability and flexibility will be needed for the foreseeable future".
Spring training was suspended in March, and didn't resume until July because of the COVID-19 pandemic. "As I sit here in quarantine, it is clear this virus does not discriminate". We will continue to bolster our protocols and make any necessary adjustments.
