Renowned Bollywood Choreographer Saroj Khan Dies at 71

Saroj Khan, who passed away in the early hours, was diabetic and had complained of breathing problems last month, following which she was admitted to Mumbai's Guru Nanak Hospital. She bid her heavenly abode at the age of 71, leaving everyone in shock and pain. This loss is immeasurable for the industry & film lovers.Having choreographed more than 2000 songs she single handedly changed the landscape of how songs were shot.

There was no looking back for Khan after the success of the song.

Saroj Khan was not only passionate about dance but also cared about her artistes, making sure they all got a fair share of work.

However, she was recognized only after 1985 when she directed late actress Sridevi in songs like Hawa Hawai (Mr. India), Main Naagin Tu Sapera (Nagina), and Mere Haathon Me Nau Nau Choodiya (Chandni).

Gauahar took to her Instagram handle and shared a collage of picture with the veteran choreographer.

"Woke up to the sad news that legendary choreographer #SarojKhan is no more", added actor Akshay Kumar, who worked alongside her on several productions. May Allah bless her soul. "She brought a certain art to the style of dancing in cinema which was both contemporary and high-class".

Her composition of "nagin" dance became a rage all over India. It's from "Devdas" starring Shah Rukh Khan in the leading role. I immediately apologised to her that I am sorry I thought you don't want me to do the song.
