Records 1st COVID-19 death in a week

The Douglas County Health Department reported Saturday one man has died and an additional 129 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the county's total to 5,715.

There were a total of 24,774 tests in the past 24 hours-which means the one day positivity rate was 2.4%.

From Thursday to Friday, there were seven new cases of COVID-19 reported from Kendall County, according to county health data.

Just 29 confirmed deaths were reported statewide on Saturday, 12 of those in Cook County.
