Limited foldable display productivity and capacity will constrain Samsung's ability to boost the foldable phone production sharply, industry officials and analysts say. It offers up to 30X zoom on the Galaxy S20 and S20+, and step-up to the revolutionary folded lenses on the S20 Ultra, which uses AI-powered, multi-image processing to reduce quality loss at high zoom levels so that users can experience Super-Resolution Zoom up to 100X with a clearer view ever than before.
Cameras include a 12MP main lens, 64MP telephoto lens and 12MP ultra-wide lens. There's also a sort of halfway unfolded, laptop-style mode (pictured above) that Samsung calls "Flex mode", which they pitch as being particularly good for hands-free video calls. The device comes with an all-screen design with a single centred hole punch à la Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S20. The top half of the screen served as a viewfinder, while the camera controls took up the bottom half of the screen.
It'll come in three variants: the S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra - starting at $999, $1,199, and $1,399 respectively.
Samsung's S20 and S20 Plus have 4000mAh to 4500mAh batteries, respectively.
The Z Flip will come in several different colors, including Mirror Purple, Mirror Black, and in some countries, Mirror Gold.
